Our History

Women in Real Estate (WIRE) Kenya was launched on November 18, 2016, and formally registered on February 23, 2017, under the Societies Act. Founded by a group of visionary women led by co-founder Robyn Emerson, WIRE set out to link, encourage, equip, and empower women in the real estate professions in Kenya.

Over time, we have grown from a networking community into a research-driven voice for gender equity, connecting over 450 members. We have marked key milestones such as the 2020 Women in the Built Environment Survey not forgetting strategic partnerships that strengthen our members influence in the built environment.
